Little bit of every thing

First let me start this post by apologizing for not posting in almost two weeks, it was a very hectic time and to be honest I never sat down in front of an actual computer and I was not about to do a post with my phone. Dad was in the hospital and was released on Friday December 21, 2012 but unfortunately had a blood infection and had to return to the hospital the next day. We went to St Joe on Sunday for the Young Family Christmas which was very nice and my cousin Carissa sent my dad a prayer quilt which is absolutely touching and beautiful, everyone took a turn tying a not on the blanket and saying their prayer at the same time. After we celebrated Christmas at my parents we went down to the hospital and spent some time with my dad and so did the rest of the family so since he couldn’t come to us, we all went to him. Peyton brought his little Christmas tree up and let papa have it in his room. The following day was Christmas Eve and we had planned to eat and then go see my dad in the hospital and open presents and then go to church. As we were getting ready to eat dad sent everyone a text saying that he was going to be released at 4:15pm, it was currently 1pm so we put the food back up and waited for him and it was worth the wait and the best Christmas present for all of us. When he got home we ate and then opened presents, he was absolutely thrilled. We didn’t make it to church for the first time in years but I think God understood and gave us such a blessing.

We spent Christmas Day at home and Aunt Chel and Aaron came to watch Peyton open presents Christmas morning and then that afternoon we went to the Tryon Christmas.

The rest of the week we relaxed, played games and had fun being together. Lance and I were able to sneak out one night for dinner and we went to Blanc Burgers on the Plaza and did a little shopping. On New Year’s Eve a good friend and her kids came down and we rang in the year east coast time and then we snuggled into bed and were awake for our year and then went straight to sleep, which was absolutely perfect!! We spent New Year’s Day watching football and Lance made chili, it was a nice and relaxing day before heading back to the real world.
