We took family photos this past weekend and Aunt Chel came out to take them for us. Then we attended a Christmas Party where Santa showed up. Peyton was so excited to see Santa and ran over to him and climbed up in his lap and told him he wanted Batman, which is what he has been asking for, for the last week. He shocked us that he was so excited and willing to sit and talk to Santa.

Seeing Santa

On Friday December 10,2010 we went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop. Peyton walked up and gave Santa a high five and then he sat down with him and posed for a picture. He told Santa he wanted a blue car.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving out our house and Peyton put on his costume he made at preschool for their Thanksgiving Party. We had a great day and both of our families were able to be there so it was even more special. The evening did come to an eventful end when our niece Katey was walking down the stairs and somehow stepped wrong and her knee popped out of its socket, needless to say we had the fire truck and ambulance at our house along with 8 paramedics, they took her to the hospital and she was thankfully released that night. She is still wearing a brace but she will be good as new very soon, so our prayers are with her.

The Santa Bus

On November 28,2010 the City of Grain Valley sponsored their Santa Bus. We heard it about 4pm and Peyton started getting all ready and very excited but then became very sad and inpatient as Santa didn’t make it to our house until 5:30pm. He walked up on the bus but didn’t want to see Santa so I had to hold him and then Santa gave him a little stuffed puppy and when we got off the bus Peyton threw the puppy down and said “Santa is suppose to give me lots of presents…I want cars, trucks, trains and toys!” Then proceeded to throw himself down on the driveway, we had to tell him that Santa stopped by to see what he wanted and gave him something small until he comes back with all his presents. Beginning to think we have created a monster, but it is so cute!

Tanner's Presidential Day

Tanner attend the White House Presidential Day at the Truman Library. The teacher selected who would be President Truman and his cabinet after reviewing reports from everyone stating who they should be and why and we were so proud that Tanner was selected at President Truman. He had a blast and said it was the best day of school all year.

Lance and I went to St. Joe and met up with some friends and my sister and her boyfriend. It was a great evening especially for Kylie and Lance however they may not say the same for the next day. The evening was an absolute blast!!

Tanner's New Car

Tanner's truck broke down and unfortunately it was not worth fixing. He was very sad until he found out that we were going to buy him a new car, well a new car to him. We bought my parents old ZX2 that Kylie drove. He was so excited as you can tell. He did think it was weird that the CD changer was in the trunk. He has been driving it for about a week and loves it and is excited on how good the gas mileage is.

He has been back for a little over two months now and is doing fantastic. He is back in Scouts and working on Leadership with them. He is doing great in school, but Trig is not one of his best subjects. He is still looking for a job, it has been so hard in finding a job. It use to be easy for a teenager to find a job but not anymore but he is still looking and we are hoping he finds one soon.

Peyton had so much fun carving pumpkins. Then we went to a Halloween party one night and Peyton had so much fun running around with his friends. On Halloween Oma and Papa came down and brought toys and candy and then Aunt Chele came down and had dinner with us and our neighbors. Then we went out Trick or Treating and Peyton had a blast. He went with Ben and Morgan & Dylan, Drew and Dane and the little ones fought about whose turn it was to ring the bell, so cute. Peyton went as "Woody" from Toy Story!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch on Sunday October 10, 2010. What a beautiful day it was. Peyton loves playing on the slides, horse, train and his favorite was running through the corn maze, he ran through it by himself about 10 times and we had to be waiting for him and grab him to get him to stop. He loved going on the hayride to pick out a couple of pumpkins and of course he loved riding the choo choo train. He got to see the pig races this year and he thought that was pretty neat but he didn't care for the petting zoo. We all had a great day and finished it off with apple cider slushes and pumpkin donuts!
