Me, Peyton, daddy and Tanner-Christmas morning

Me, Peyton, daddy and Braylon

On Sunday December 20, 2009 we went to Oma and Opa’s for Christmas. We ate prime rib and twice bakes…yummy!!! Then we opened presents, Peyton wanted to play with each gift as he opened them, not so much into opening all the presents at once.
On Thursday December 24, 2009 Christmas Eve, we went to church and Aunt Belle came with us. We got to church around 4:15pm and when we left an hour later it had started snowing and sleeting and we had to scrape the windows. The winter storm they had predicted came in and it was strong. Papa, Grandma Di and Katey come over for dinner that evening but due to the weather Oma and Opa were unable to make it down. Peyton, Tanner and Katey were excited to open presents. On Christmas morning we got up around 4:45am because Daddy had to work, we opened presents and Peyton enjoyed opening some presents and the others he didn't want anything to do with but it was so funny when he opened one because he would say "WOW" or "Oh WOW" we think he was just trying to make us happy or mimic us but it was super cute. He got all kinds of train stuff, CARS stuff and a kitchen set which he loves because he loves to cook. Tanner got some games and stuff for a car when he gets one so both boys were very happy with what SANTA left them. On Christmas day Aunt Belle couldn't make it to St. Joe because the roads were really bad so she stayed with us and we went to Lance's family and had dinner and opened more presents and by the time we got home we all crashed we were so tired. On Saturday December 26, 2009 me and Peyton went with Aunt Belle to St. Joe and daddy came up after work and we had Christmas with the Young family and the little kids had a blast playing and opening yet again more presents. It was a long and weird weekend but it was great to be able to see the entire family.

Peyton's Christmas Program

On Wednesday December 16, 2009, Peyton had his 1st school/daycare Christmas Program. There were seven songs for them to sing and some of them were toddler songs changed into Christmas songs. When we got back to school that night and I took Peyton to his classroom, he started crying and didn’t want to go, which was the same issue with most of the other kids; they couldn’t figure out why they were back so soon. When he came into the other room where they had the program, he spotted me and he came running and yelling mommy, I tried a couple of times to convince him to go back up with his friends, they even rang bells and twirled ribbon, but he wouldn’t have it. He held on to me with a very tight grip so much to the point I couldn’t move and if I tried he squeezed tighter. The program was very cute and some of the kids got very into the singing and actions, maybe next year Peyton will enjoy it. Oma, Opa, Papa and Grandma Di all came to see him, they didn’t mind a bit they were just glad that they got to see him for a bit and when we got home he was back to his normal wild self. Needless to say we got no pictures because he never made it up front.

Santa and the weekend!

On Friday December 11, 2009 we took Peyton to Bass Pro Shops to see Santa, he liked him while we were in line but by the time we got up there and he screamed and wanted nothing to do with Santa, so I sat in Santa’s chair with Peyton on my knee and Santa behind us, so needless to say we didn’t get any other pictures than when they took because daddy was standing behind the camera to try and get him to look.

On Saturday December 12, 2009 I took Peyton to the Elks Lodge to try and see Santa again and this time Santa had presents he was passing out, Peyton didn’t care a bit still wanted nothing to do with him and pushed the present away but was very happy when I took it, he got a monster truck so enjoyed playing on the floor with the other boys who got trucks. Then we went shopping all day with Oma, Aunt Belle, Aunt Kyky and Braylon…oh what fun.

Christmas Party

On Friday December 11, 2009 I had my work Christmas party at our house. Peyton had a blast and another little girl Addison who is the same age as Peyton came over and then played and entertained everyone.

Christmas Cookies

On Friday December 4, 2009 Peyton and I made Christmas cookies, he enjoyed doing a couple and then he was done, he had more fun pounding the sugar cookies out rather than cutting them out. He also really enjoyed turning on the mixer.

Santa on the Christmas Bus

On Sunday November 29, 2009 we had a lazy Sunday, we all took naps and then watched football. We then heard sirens and horns and it was the Christmas Bus with Santa and Mrs. Claus, we ran outside and Peyton got on the bus but wouldn’t go to Santa, he was excited to be on a bus though. Me and Peyton took a picture with Santa and he got a monster truck and coloring book and he did let Santa give him a hug before we got off the bus.

Peyton cheering for MU

On Saturday November 28, 2009 we watched the MU-KU game, Peyton got a kick out of yelling go at the tv, I guess he picked that up from watching me and daddy yell at the tv. It was so cute he was laughing and thought he was pretty cool. We all had our matching MU shirts on and were very happy with a win!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

On Thursday November 26, 2009 we got up and Opa had bought donuts for us. We cooked and got everything ready for Thanksgiving Dinner. Peyton had a great day playing with Oma and Opa and then Papa and Grandma Di came over to visit. When Lance and Tanner got home we all get to talk and catch up before eating, Aunt Belle, Aunt Kyky, Braylon, Bryson, Uncle Tommy and Grandpa John all came over for dinner too, so it was a great day.

Potty Training-No Luck

On Wednesday November 25, 2009 we tried to potty train, Peyton was excited to sit on the potty and to get a Reece’s pieces and to put a smiley face on the potty chart but he wouldn’t go in the potty we tried all different kinds of things but it wasn’t working. That night he started crying and hid his potty, so that was our sign to stop. He is so stubborn, he knows when he needs to go and where but it is going to be something that he will do on his time and his way, we just have to let him make that decision. That evening Oma and Opa came down and Aunt Belle came over so we could start cooking.

We did a Veteran's Day project by collecting leaves and gluing them to construction paper for Grandpa John. Then we all headed to St. Joe and Lance, Tanner and Opa went to the fights and us girls and our little boys went to see Aunt Kylie's new house and then we came home and relaxed.

Happy Halloween!

My little train

Trick or Treating at the Earhart's

I'm ready to go NOW!!

My and my baby

I got lots of candy!!

On Saturday October 31, 2009 we were surprised very early by Oma and Opa who came down to see Peyton. He would not put on his costume or take a picture at all. After they left we headed over to Papa and Grandma Di’s and he would still not take a picture but I got him as he was running around but he yelled at me and said “no cheese” which means no picture. We then went to a Halloween Party at the LeVota’s and he got to go around their neighborhood and then we headed home and he went around our neighborhood to a few houses, and then the poor guy started coughing so much he came home, but he had a blast handing out candy, he would hear the door bell and come running, it was so fun. He had a great night and was very excited about all his candy.

Wedding Reception

Peyton break dancing

Papa and Grandmi Di

On Friday October 30, 2009 we went to a wedding reception for Lance’s cousin Brad. Peyton had a blast running around and then dancing, he looked like he was trying to break dance, it was hilarious.

Peyton's School Halloween Party!

He wanted to take picture!

On Friday October 30, 2009 Peyton had his school Halloween Party. They had made masks and they wore them to Trick or Treat to each of the classrooms, he really enjoyed it and then we did a cake walk it lasted one time and then all the kids wanted their cake, so they ate cake and drank juice. Peyton was a wild man and he and two other boys were running around crazy and then he was picking on a little girl that I hear he picks on quite a bit as well as she picking on him, so we think they have a little romance brewingJ It was a great afternoon and he was definitely hyped up on sugar.

Driving a tractor, didn't like it too well

Peyton and Mommy

Peyton and Daddy

On Sunday October 18, 2009 we went to Carolyn's Pumpkin patch, we went through the petting zoo and Peyton did not like this at all, when we entered he said "it stinks" and then he was standing by the calf and it moved up to him and that scared him and he only wanted to be carried by mommy. He went down a couple of the slides and he loved the big slide no surprise and so he went down that one twice. He played on the wood train and wanted to ride the tractor trikes but his legs are just not long enough. He got on the tractor ride which cost a $1 and he went around once before he jumped off, so much for the five minute ride. Then we took the tractor out to pick out a pumpkin and of course Peyton got a little pumpkin for himself. We rode the train and he was very excited to ride a choo choo. It was a great afternoon and Peyton was asleep within five minutes of getting in the car, he was worn out.

MU Game

Before generators came up!

On Thursday October 8, 2009, Lance, Tanner and I went to the MU game. MU lost to Nebraska in the last quarter it was a horrible game. It rained all day long and on the way there were wrecks everywhere, when we arrived we hit up Taco Bell and ate in the car after paying $15 to park because they were not allowing parking anywhere for this particular game. We had many layers of clothes and ponchos, which did not help much we were soaked and it was so cold we could barely feel our fingers and toes. About 10 minutes after entering the stadium the campus had a power outage and it was black, they got the back up generators running but there was no PA system and no jumbo tron so we didn't get to hear Sarah Evans sing or any commentary of the game. It was running so hard the drains could not keep up in the stands so we had water running almost over the tops of our fee the entire game. When we left the game we had to cross a grassy area and when you stepped down our feet when under and were covered with mud.
