Date Night

Lance and I went to dinner at Fogo de Chão on Saturday September 26, 2009. It was delicious and I was actually surprised of all the meats my favorite was the bottom sirloin, it was flavorful and extremely juicy. Lance and I also really like the cheese crusted pork loin. I think Lance's favorite were the world renowned cheese rolls and they were extremely good as well and so different you just have to try them to hard to explain. I ordered one of their Brazilian drink, it was so strong I had to send it back, even Lance couldn’t choke it down, never have had to do that before, they doctored it a little but it was still very strong. After dinner we were absolutely miserable but we walked around the Plaza Art Fair and then headed home. Peyton stated with Papa and Grandma Di and Katey also spent the night. They roasted hotdogs and smores and had a picnic in the living room. They watched movies and played and Katey slept with Peyton and said that he almost fell out of bed once, she was not very thrilled to listen to his bedtime CD but she was a champ and such a big cousin to put up with it. Lance and I slept, well lounged would be a better way to put it until about 8:30am, no matter what it doesn't seem like we can sleep in anymore but just being able to lay in bed and not have someone jumping and begging to watch Choo Choo was very nice and then we headed over to pick up the little guy and he was running around and watching his movie and he gave everyone hugs and kisses before we left.

Celebrated Opa's birthday

On Sunday September 20, 2009 we went to St. Joe to celebrate Opa's birthday. We had a cookout and cake, it was very yummy!! We also brought Scuddles home and we will see how she does with Peyton and hopefully all will be fine so she can continue to live with us.

Blue Springs Fall Fun Fest

Down the CARS slide

On Saturday September 19, 2009 we went to the Blue Springs Fall Fun Fest for a little bit, the main reason was so Peyton could ride the Choo Choo Train, however this was the first year he was not there, but he got to go down a CARS slide which he loved and would have done over and over if we would have let him but come on now $1 each time to go down the slide. Then he rode the Zebra on the Carousel, we won't be doing that again, it was shaky and a little fast, I'm not one for carnival rides and just that reminded me why. We ate steak burgers at Timothy Lutheran's tent, they were greasy and very delicious. Then we came home and watched football and daddy and Peyton tossed the football back and forth and then daddy is teaching Peyton the NOLES chant since he thinks Peyton is going to FSU.

Parade and Football

I don't want my picture!

Picking up candy

He likes tractors

He loves buses

On Saturday September 12, 2009 we went to the Grain Valley parade. Peyton thought he could run out in the street so it was a chore and the one time he tried he ran straight into a sheep dog, kind of humorous. It was a nice day as Lance was off so we were able to have just a family day and then that evening we went down to some friends house to watch the MIZZOU game.

Happy Birthday Scuddles!!

On Tuesday September 15, 2009 Scuddles turned 11 years old. Happy birthday Scuddles!!

Boating on Labor Day

On Monday September 7, 2009 we finally got a boat worthy day. We went out on the lake for the afternoon, the sun was warm but the water was cold but at least we got to spend one day on the boat, it was a great day, we just hung out in the boat and had some family time!

Santa Cali Gon & Friends

On Sunday September 6, 2009 we went to Santa Cali Gon days, it was mine and Peyton's first and Oma and Opa met us down there, I bought some beer bread and a spinach dip, it was yummy can't wait to make it. Oma and Opa bought Peyton and me a funnel cake and frozen lemonade, daddy isn't much into all that but my little man is so yea for me. That evening Andrea, Alvin and Austin Howell came out and we had dinner, the little boys wanted to eat outside on Peyton's little table, that lasted about 2 minutes before they came inside but they still ate at the little table. The little ones watched Thomas the Train and played, they had some sharing issues but for the most part they got along very well.

Braylon's 2nd birthday

Peyton, Oma and Braylon

On Saturday September 5, 2009, Peyton and I went to St. Joe for Braylon Austin's 2nd birthday! Peyton had a blast running around Oma and Opa's new living room and the best part of the day was when Aunt Belle was chasing him and she hit the hardwood and went airborne and landed on her butt, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, I know it hurt but it was hilarious. Braylon was excited to blow out his candles but wasn't too much into opening his presents. Peyton loved eating cake he had it all over himself. Then he had a blast using the hotwheel and climbing up the back of the couch and flipping over to the front.

Our Anniversary

On Friday September 4, 2009 Lance and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary!! Our date consisted of dinner and a movie. We went and ate at PF Changs, and Peyton was with us and he did very well for the most part. He ate some chicken, shrimp and crab (the kid will eat anything obviously), then we walked around the Plaza and then headed home. We all got in our jammies and snuggled up in bed to watch Percy and the Bandstand (Thomas the Train). Not your typical dinner and movie date night but to us it was perfect and I love just being with my boys! Next week Lance and I are going to go to dinner just the two of us though, so we will get to have a mommy and daddy night.

Tanner's 16th birthday

Getting beat up by his little brother

We had Tanner’s 16th birthday party with the family on Friday August 28, 2009. He got money for the most part and one X-Box game. He is saving his money for when he gets that car. He requested a Red Velvet Cake and so that’s what he got. He blew all 16 candles out in one breath.

Tanner's Scout Night

Tanner had his yearly Scout night on Monday August 31, 2009, he got a few awards that he earned while at camp.

Peyton napping

It was Peyton’s nap time and I put him in bed and I went downstairs to exercise and when I came back up he was laying in our bed as you can see and he had the TV on, it was so cute!

Peyton feeding the fish

Peyton got to finally feed the fish at Blue Springs Lake, he started off by throwing one in at a time, that last for a second before he started dumping the bag of food.
