Peyton turned the big 1 on Saturday July 19, 2008. He was a little overwhelmed by everyone that came to celebrate but after a little bit he was just fine. It was wonderful to have so much family here to celebrate with us and we missed the ones that were unable to be here. Peyton got a ton of toys! He had a Mickey Mouse birthday, it's the one cartoon he focuses in on when it first comes on and then it's over (very short attention span). It was a great day and we had 5 boys under 14 months and one that was 2 1/2, so it was very fun to see them all interacting and playing. I never realized how much a birthday party wears you out, I'm sure some of it had to do with the emotional aspect as well.

Thanks to everyone who was able to be here and for all the wonderful presents!!

To our sweet boy on your 1st birthday.
I can’t even make it through the first sentence without getting tears in my eyes. It blows my mind how incredibly fast this first year has gone. I have truly enjoyed watching you grow and develop into this amazing little person. You have a great personality and you are so funny and such a flirt! When you giggle and flash a smile you make my heart melt, but then again just looking at you makes my heart melt. One of my favorite times of the day is when you give me kisses, it is absolutely adorable and I steal as many kisses as I can!! There are moments I miss; being able to snuggle with you anytime I want, but I love watching you play and be on the move, gaining your independence. I truly love bedtime and first thing in the morning as that is sometimes the only time I get my snuggle time. I look forward to watching you continue to grow and I will treasure everyday as they go way to fast. You have blessed my life in ways you will never know and I’m thankful everyday for you!

I came up with Peyton's birthday eve, Aunt Belle thought I was crazy and Oma laughed. For his birthday eve he got a Picnic table which he thinks is for climbing. We went to dinner with Oma and Opa at Hereford House in Zona Rosa. After dinner they took us to Build a Bear and Peyton made his very first bear. Opa was going to get Peyton's hand wet in the water area and ended up getting one whole side of Peyton drenched but it didn't bother him a bit.

We went to see Trent, Alix, Juliet and Isaac Bryant, as well as Lonnie and Janis Bryant. Juliet has gotten so big and Isaac is adorable and it was so fun to hold a little one. It was nice to catch up and see the kids together.

We had a busy fun filled weekend. We went out on the boat on Friday July 4, 2008 and Aunt Kyky, Bryson and Braylon came down as well as our friends Gregg and Kelli. Then we came home and Tanner shot off Fireworks, Peyton would raise his arm as they went up and he started saying "bye-bye" it was adorable! On Saturday Oma, Opa, Aunt Kyky and Braylon came down and we played all day and had bunches of fun! Sunday it was a calmer and quieter day it was just me, Lance and Peyton and we just relaxed. Tanner is getting to the point he doesn't want to go out everytime. It was a great weekend but ready for some down time! Hope everyone had a good and safe 4th of July.
