Shopping with Aunt Belle

On Saturday April 25, 2009 we went shopping with Aunt Belle at Nebraska Furniture Mart, and she found the bedroom set she wants and we found a mattress for Peyton. After shopping we went to eat at Outback, just for hamburgers, which were very yummy!! Peyton started saying Juice and his favorite new word is "Why", I'm trying really hard to explain to him but the other day I wanted to say because I said so, but I didn't. When we got home we played on the swingset and then we went for a walk with Melanie. Peyton is really enjoying being outside so much!!

Oma and Opa visit

On Friday April 24, 2009 Oma and Opa decided to come down and we ordered pizza and they played with Peyton, Opa took him outside to swing for a little bit and then we played inside. Nick and Melanie came over to hang out, it was a great and nice evening.

On Thursday April 23, 2009 Peyton went to work with me for take your child to work day. It was crazy with all the kids there but it was so much fun!! He got to play with Addison who is two months younger than him and then Charlie who is 7 months there were a few other kids around Peyton's age so he had fun. He had a new buddy Will who is 10, he chased Peyton around and didn't want Peyton to leave. He ate a whole donut and then a piece of pizza, I think he needed the extra energy.

That evening we went up to Rancho Grande for a little bit to celebrate Melanie's birthday!

Tommy's Birthday

On Wednesday April 22, 2009 we went to Papa and Grandma Di's for pizza and to celebrate uncle Tommy's birthday. Peyton ate two pieces of Hawiian pizza (little piggy). We sat outside for a little bit and he was going up and down the deck steps and was running around having fun and then decided he would run across the pool with the cover on, my heart still stopped, thank goodness for the strong covers.

On Sunday April 19, 2009 Peyton turned 21 months...three more months and he will be 2...where is the time going. He has started climbing in his crib but is not quite able to climb out just yet but he is trying. We have started potty training a little this past weekend and we'll see how it goes but he has started taking off his diaper and then when he is wet he will get a diaper and bring it to us and when he is dirty he will bring a diaper to us while holding his nose, so we are thinking that he is about ready....we'll see what happens!

Allergies

Peyton has allergies and they are kicking his butt, poor guy, he hates Benadryl but is being a little champ in taking it, they said that we will discuss in more depth what options we have when he turns 2, so three more months:(

On Sunday April 12, 2009 we celebrated Easter (Peyton’s 2nd). We got up and did an Easter Egg Hunt around the house, Peyton was not to sure what to think and then started picking up eggs and realized something was in them, so he opened one and took a Starburst Jelly Bean and I guess he really liked them because the next think I knew he was shoving a handful in his mouth and then that evening he saw the jelly beans in a container and crawled up on the counter and was trying to bang it open. We went to church and had to park a block away and then it was standing room only, however Peyton did better then he has in the past. We headed up to St. Joe and had dinner with the Young Family and Peyton and Braylon got to play together. Peyton was playing with a bubble gun and had a blast shooting himself in the face, he was covered head to toe in bubbles but he had a blast and we did too, it was hilarious to watch.

On Sunday April 5, 2009 Peyton colored Easter Eggs. He thought the eggs were balls and that he could throw them. He wanted to throw them in the color and he ended up knocking over the Yellow and ended up with Yellow and Green fingers but he had fun and it was entertaining for us.

Okay, not sure what I want to do here

On Saturday April 4, 2009 I took Peyton to the ELKS Lodge Easter Egg Hunt with Oma and Grandma Di. It was a little chilly and Peyton was a little hard to contain but we had a great time. He got in the moon walk and I would bounce him and then he would fall over but he didn’t get to stay in long because some of the big kids got in. He had fun doing the Easter Egg Hunt, he was grabbing a few eggs but had more fun trying to run up and down the hill, Oma was video taping and she couldn’t keep up with him. The Easter Bunny was there and he wasn’t to sure about that, he wasn’t afraid but at the same time didn’t want anything to do with him, but he did keep his on eye on him.

After we went shopping with Oma and then went to lunch at Clancy’s and Peyton was his friendly happy self and was talking with the people behind us and then told them bye when we left. He took a few sips of Oma’s Coke and he was making the funniest faces but we couldn’t catch a picture of it. When we got home we played and then he showed Oma how he can climb in and out of his crib and then he took a nap as he was exhausted from the day. My mom and I sat on the deck soaking up a little sun and chatting.
