On Monday July 19, 2010 Peyton turned 3 years old!! Happy Birthday Peyton!! The three of us hang out all day and Peyton opened the rest of his presents from mommy and daddy and he loved them all but especially “Woody” who had to go with us when we left. We went to Independence Center and rode the train around the mall and Peyton took Woody and he told me to take a picture of Woody, so cute. We went to Red Robin for dinner and Oma and Opa came down. The Robin was there and came to our table twice and Peyton gave him a high five both times. After dinner they came to sing to him and again he got embarrassed and hid under the table, I have no idea why he is so shy and doesn’t like attention on him. After dinner we went outside and he pretend like he was looking for Big Jet (Little Einsteins) behind the bushes, so cute. When we got home he wanted to blow out candles and so we lit three candles in a cupcake three times and he blew them out each time and then dug into the cupcake. He had a great birthday and didn’t want to go to bed but he crashed as soon as he laid down and of course “Buzz” and “Woody” slept on the pillow next to him.

Tanner's Scout Camp
Mommy, Tanner, Peyton and Daddy
Peyton and Tanner in that thing they call a tent
On Sunday July 18, 2010 we went to see Tanner at Scout Camp. It was extremely hot (105 heat index). He took us on a trail that went to a point where you could see the lake. Peyton loved his tent or what they consider a tent, because it didn’t zip up and there were daddy long legs on the ceiling, better him than me. We felt bad leaving him since it was so hot but he was fine with it. After we left we hit Osceola cheese factory and Peyton thought that was so cool, he enjoyed trying different cheeses it was hilarious!

Peyton opening presents
On Saturday July 17, 2010 we celebrated Peyton’s 3rd birthday! He choose a Handy Manny party. We had family and some good friends over to help us celebrate. Peyton opened his presents and has a ton of Toy Story stuff. We sang Happy Birthday and when we did he covered his face but he did blow out his candles and that was all he talked about for a few days was blowing out candles. We got him a motorized Gator and everyone was outside watching him and he got embarrassed again and wanted nothing to do with it for a second but then he wanted to ride in it. Poor guy does not like to be center of attention. He and his friends had water balloon fight and then they all swam and ate cupcakes. He enjoyed riding around in his Gator later with his friend that was driving, he has a hard time steering it still, one we think he thinks it should just go but also the steering column his still hard to turn since it’s new, but he’ll get the hang of it quick I’m sure. It was a great day and we are thankful to all our family and friends that helped celebrate with us.

On Sunday July 4, 2010 we ate dinner with neighbors and then all shot off fireworks. Peyton loves fireworks and he had an absolute blast. He didn’t even mind the loud firecrackers, he did put on ear muffs for about a minute and then decided he didn’t like them. He helped daddy light the fireworks and mommy did help him do the smoke bombs and small stuff like that and then I sat back and let my heart beat out of my chest…was glad when it was over and everyone was safe.
